FrameDudu Privacy Policy
FrameDudu does not collect your personal data; the only data that leaves your device is what Google's advertising service collects to show ads.
About this policy
This policy explains how the FrameDudu app for Android ("FrameDudu", "the app", "we") handles information. FrameDudu is developed by Muniyandi Balaganesan. It applies to all versions of the app.
By using the app, you agree to this policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Information stored on your device
Everything you make in FrameDudu stays on your device. We have no servers, and the app has no accounts, sign-in or cloud sync.
The app stores these in its private storage on your device:
- Your projects: drawings, frames, layers, colours and project settings
- App preferences: for example, whether you've seen the tips
We can't see, access or recover this information. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage deletes it permanently, so export or save project files you want to keep.
We don't collect your name, email address, contacts, photos, precise location or any other personal information, and we don't use analytics or tracking tools of our own.
Advertising
FrameDudu is free and shows ads through Google AdMob.
To show and measure ads, Google's Mobile Ads SDK in the app automatically collects:
- Device identifiers: your Android advertising ID and app set ID
- IP address: which may be used to estimate your general location (not your precise location)
- Interactions with the app and ads: for example, app launches, ad views and taps
- Diagnostic information: such as app and ad performance
This data goes directly to Google, is encrypted in transit and is used for advertising, measurement and fraud prevention. We never receive it in a form that identifies you. Google's use of this data is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and the Google Privacy Policy.
Your choices
- Consent (EEA, UK and Switzerland): before any ads load, the app shows Google's consent form so you can choose how your data is used. You can change your choice any time from the home screen menu: ⋮ → Privacy settings (ads).
- Personalised ads: on Android, go to Settings → Privacy → Ads (or Settings → Google → Ads, depending on your device) to delete or reset your advertising ID. Ads will then not be personalised using it.
- Avoiding ads data entirely: drawing works offline; ads only load when your device is connected to the internet.
Files, imports and permissions
The app only reads or writes files you choose, and all processing happens on your device.
- Importing: when you insert an image, start a project from photos or a GIF, or import a project file, you pick the file with Android's system picker. The app reads only that file and copies what it needs into your project.
- Exporting: videos, GIFs and images you export are saved to your device's Downloads/FrameDudu folder. Project files (.framedudu) are saved where you choose. Sharing an export only happens when you tap Share and pick an app.
- Permissions: FrameDudu asks for no runtime permissions. It does not access your camera, microphone, contacts or photo library. The ads SDK adds the internet, network state and advertising ID permissions so ads can load.
Children's privacy
We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The app has no accounts, chat or ways to share personal details.
Ads are provided by Google AdMob and are limited to content suitable for a general audience. If you are a parent and believe your child's data has been collected through ads, contact us and we will help you reach Google to have it removed.
Sharing, retention and security
We don't sell, rent or share your information, because we don't collect it. The only third party involved is Google, for ads, as described above.
- Retention: your projects stay on your device until you delete them, clear the app's storage or uninstall the app. Data collected for ads is kept by Google under its own policies.
- Device backup: if Android backup is turned on, Android may include the app's data in your Google account's device backup. You control this in your device's backup settings.
- Security: your projects are kept in the app's private storage, which other apps can't read. Ad data is encrypted in transit.
Your rights, changes and contact
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act or US state laws), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data and to withdraw consent. As we hold no personal data, most requests are fulfilled by deleting the app's data on your device. For ad data, use the consent and advertising ID choices above, or contact Google.
If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date at the top and, for important changes, mention it in the app's release notes.
